Mark Stewart
- MEET MARK
31 Years in Roofing Production. He Catches What Everyone Else Misses.
Mark Stewart earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University and joined Hamlin Roofing Company as an estimator in 1990. Over the next 31 years, he worked his way through both the Sales and Production divisions, preparing detailed take-offs, estimates, and proposals for every major commercial roofing system on the market.
Single-ply, built-up roofing, modified bitumen, standing seam metal. Mark did not just estimate these systems. He delivered safe, quality installations of them for three decades. He was named Manager of Estimating and Sales in 2013. When he made the move to consulting, he brought all of that with him.

- WHY MARK
The Detail Everyone Else Missed. Mark Found It.
Mark is the kind of expert who reads every line of the spec, checks every seam, and catches the one thing that does not add up. He spent 31 years estimating and delivering roofing projects, which means he knows exactly what a job should cost, how long it should take, and what it looks like when someone cuts corners. When Mark writes a report or gives testimony, every word carries weight because he does not say things he does not mean.

- WHAT MARK DOES AT FORTRESS
From the Estimate to the Expert Report
Mark conducts forensic investigations, building condition assessments, and construction-phase quality control inspections. His background in estimating and production management gives him a rare ability to look at a failed system and understand not just what went wrong, but how and why the process broke down. When attorneys need someone who can connect the dots between the specifications, the installation, and the failure, Mark is who they call.
