A skipped mock-up means one bad detail replicated a thousand times. An unprotected membrane means punctures from every trade that walks across it. A flashing detail done wrong at one transition means it is wrong at every transition.

Quality Control Inspection FAQs

A construction quality control inspection is independent, on-site verification that roofing, waterproofing, and wall systems are installed the way the specifications require, while the work is still exposed and problems are cheap to fix. It catches skipped steps, spec deviations, and trade damage before they get buried in the building.

Quality control inspections verify the work is being installed correctly as it happens. Building envelope testing verifies the finished system actually performs, no water or air intrusion. Most projects benefit from both: QC during installation, testing to confirm the result.

Installation quality versus manufacturer requirements, specification compliance, flashing and transition details, damage from other trades, material storage and handling, mock-up verification, and substrate conditions before installation begins.

Before installation begins, we check substrate conditions and verify mock-ups first, then inspect at the critical stages as the work goes up. The earlier we are involved, the more we can catch.
